In this video lecture, I explore six underlying principles of training that all mountaineers need to consider in regards to their endurance training and fitness. There are certain things a mountaineer needs to include in their training, to ensure long term success in their training. It doesn't matter what workouts, what training plans or what gadgets you are applying in your training if you don't follow these principles you are shooting yourself in the foot. But if you DO follow the following principles, consistently, you will be setting yourself up for long term success, by ensuring you are constantly improving your performance while at the same time minimising your risk of injury and burnout.
