In this episode, I discuss a few quick gym tips for hikers, to help you avoid making the same mistakes I have made in the past.

 You will learn:

  • How to tell if an exercise is unnecessarily complicated
  • A simple question to ask yourself to understand if an exercise is working for you or not
  • A buzz word commonly used in the gym, which you should be wary of
  • One definitive occasion where you NEED to find another exercise variation
  • Why you should be comfortable (and not self-conscious) doing all of your exercises in the gym (and what to do if you are not)

This is really useful, the audio quality was awesome. Many of people get cramps when they start gym at home. If you’re not doing exercise properly that won’t help you in achieving fitness goals. I think hiring a personal trainer for the very initial phase would be a great option.

Wow, these tips are so practical and helpful! I'm planning a hiking trip soon and I'll definitely be incorporating some of these exercises into my gym routine. I especially appreciate the emphasis on building leg and core strength - those are definitely important areas for hiking. Thanks for sharing!
