Beyond injuries, altitude sickness or physical exhaustion, the common cold or flu can play a significant role in both your enjoyment and chance of success on your trek. This episode is all about keeping you healthy, happy and successful at all times!

When I first started training hikers, trekkers and mountaineers this was a big weak point of my coaching.

I would happily take aspiring trekkers on as clients and train them to be in tip top shape for the trail.

I would ensure that their joints were bulletproof from injury.

I would educate them on how to perform at high altitude and prevent altitude sickness.

And ultimately I would do everything within my power to get them feeling 100% confident they were ready to tackle their adventure...

But then a third of them would get sick the week before they left.

And another third would get sick during their trek.

And while this never stopped any of my clients from completing their adventures...

It definitely put a dampener on the experience!

So I decided something had to change! And since then, I have put a big emphasis applying strategies to keep my clients healthy and happy during their training and while on the trail.

And that is what today's podcast is all about!

This episode will teach you:

  • Simple guidelines to stop illness ruining your training
  • Some incredibly important strategies to prevent getting sick right before your adventure
  • A few tips to stay healthy, happy and successful on the trail!

So you will never have to worry about illness ruining your adventure again!

Hey Wahdan,
There are a number of different topics I take my clients through to help them at altitude (e.g. nutrition, hydration, training, breathing).

If you were interested in learning these, I share all of the strategies, tactics and advice I use with my coaching clients, in my online altitude education course: Altitude 101.

You can check that out here:
