With the current crisis, many hikers are choosing to train away from the gym (by choice or necessity). Which is fair enough! But, often the 'knee jerk' reaction to this type of training by hikers, is to return to the basics... i.e. lots of walking and endless squats and lunges. Which is not an incredibly effective way of training.
