I sincerely hope it’s something very simple and you recover very soon. I looooove hiking and I’ve hurted my back and I had to just take it easy but you’re right, mentally you can think the worst ! So keep positive . Thank you for your good advice. Very useful when one hurts herself (himself). Wait to hear on your 24 report, hope to hear you’re good and it’s gone !

Thank you for sharing this Rowan! I just had to cancel my mountaineering trip because of a groin strain. It's incredibly frustrating and the hardest part is holding my husband back because of my injuries when he never gets injured. It's helpful to hear this is common (even if it's not for my husband) and to not beat myself up too bad.
