Goal Setting For Hikers and Trekkers

Goal setting for hiking, trekking and mountaineering goes a lot further then simply choosing which trail you want to complete...

If done right, goal setting can be an incredible tool to help improve focus, clarity and motivation... which are all incredibly important for long term success!

Four Tips To Help Your Goal Setting:

  1. Choose goals which you are 90% sure you can achieve (if you are not 90% sure, make them easier!
  2. Update your Process Goals every 4 weeks
  3. Choose rewards that are meaningful to you!
  4. Put your goals somewhere you will regularly see them (e.g. fridge, computer screen, bathroom door etc)

Goal setting is a simple and effective strategy for hikers and trekkers to find focus, clarity and motivation in their training and goes a long way to helping towards long term success!
