Today, I want to share a few unique things about me, which you might not be aware of... Here are a few things you probably don't know about me:
None of these things sounds very nice. And are any of them ideal? Probably not. But do any of these things stop me doing anything I like? Definitely not! In the fitness world, coaches and trainers are great at diagnosing 'irregularities'. But not so great, at putting things into perspective. Yes, it can be beneficial to be aware of what 'irregularities' exist in your body and during movement And yes, it is good to know where to put some extra emphasis on your training. (This is why I run initial video assessments with all my online clients) But these things should not be causing you anxiety. They should not be stressing you out. And, most of the time, they should not be holding you back from doing what you love* (*This is slightly different if you are just come back from surgery or major injury, and are working through a rehab program with a physio, physiologist or doctor) If a trainer has told you in the past that something in your body is 'wrong', and it is constantly at the back of your mind when you are hiking or training, I highly recommend you get a second opinion. Book yourself in for a session with a physio. Explain your situation. And I wouldn't be surprised if things begin to seem much brighter. Yours in adventure, Rowan Want To Get
