Thank You To The Hiking Community

Today, I do a quick end of the year episode, saying a big thank you to every hiker who has contributed to our community over the past year.

Today I want to say a big thank you to the Summit Strength community.

Each December, I typically take a moment to reflect on all the cool things that have happened over the years.

All the hikers we have worked with. The adventures they have conquered. And the milestones they have achieved.

And while this year has been a major success on that front...

(We have helped hundreds of hikers prepare for every type of adventure imaginable)

Today, I want to take a slightly different route.

Because 2024 has been the most challenging year of my life.

Going through a significant personal hardship sucked in its own right.

But how the ongoing aftermath has affected every aspect of my life has been tough.

But one thing that has made this rough time more manageable is having the Summit Strength community.

And while you may not know it, every one of you has contributed in your own way to helping me through this challenging period.

So I want to say a few thank yous.

Thank you to my staff, who have kept Summit Strength running smoothly when I have had to law low or dissapear...

Thank you to my clients, who have been such a pleasure to work with, invested in the Summit Strength journey, and continually inspired me with all the incredible things you accomplish.

And also, thank you to the wider Summit Strength community.

For reading my newsletters, listening to my podcasts,  watching my videos and participating in my communities.

From the outside, these things might not seem like much. But for me, it is everything.

Because of this, I have a job that I love.

That, even in the worst of times, is not a chore.

That allows me to look after myself and my family when needed.

And also gives me so much joy when I see and hear hikers putting their training into action and accomplishing some amazing things.

At the end of the year, thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Summit Strength community.

2024 has been tough.

But I am very excited about what's ahead for the year to come.

I hope everyone can have a great rest of the year and that you can get out for some holiday adventures!

And bring on 2025!

Yours in trekking.
